Happy Thursday! We have several very important bits of news to share. Please take time to read through these points very carefully!!!!

Band Banquet

We have received permission to host our annual band banquet at the Embassy Suites in Hoover on Thursday, April 29 at 6 PM. All students will be recognized.

Use this link for more information and to register your attendance.  We will collect payment using MySchoolFees (instruction included in the above link).

This is an optional event.

Pride of the Park to Perform at Talladega Superspeedway!

The Pride of the Park has been invited to perform on Saturday, April 24 at the Talladega Superspeedway as part of their race weekend.  We will do a PARADE performance of some of our favorite stand tunes, receive garage access and have tickets to watch the race!

WE ARE HOLDING A ‘DEGA PARADE PRACTICE ON THURSDAY, APRIL 22 (3:45-5 PM).

IT IS REQUIRED FOR ALL PARTICIPATING STUDENTS.

Cost for the field trip is $60.

Students and chaperones register to attend using this link.

This is an optional event.  All participants will receive a trip t-shirt!

DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS APRIL 14.

Sticks and Swing Concert

The Jazz Band and Percussion Ensemble will be presenting a Percussion and Jazz Concert in the Cafeteria at 7 PM on April 20.  This is a REQUIRED PERFORMANCE for percussion and jazz band students.

Spring Band Concert

Our Spring Band Concert will be held in the Competition Gymnasium at 7 PM on April 27.  This is a REQUIRED PERFORMANCE for all in-person instrumental students.

Marching Fundamentals Camp 

Rising 9-12th grades will participate in our Marching Fundamentals Camp (May 3, 4, and 6 – 3:45-5 PM).

Summer Band Camp Schedule

Here’s the Summer Band Camp Schedule for those planning vacations and other summer activities.  All of our band camp activities are required.  Please contact me ASAP if you have any questions or conflicts.

Uniform Pictures

Students will be able to have individual pictures taken in their marching uniform on Wednesday, May 5 during our JAG period. Iron City Studios will be on campus during that time to provide this opportunity since students were unable to have pictures taken in uniform this fall!
